Seating Tips

Quick tips I've learned about choosing where to sit on your flight (before I've ever been on a an airplane with more than five seats). The people I've been talking to, who have done this before, have given me the following tips:
  • Don't sit near a cross aisle
  • Don't sit near the bathrooms, because they will stink
  • Don't sit near the galley, because the employees are constantly going in and out creating noise and light when you are wanting to sleep
  • Don't get worried when you see the airplane engine and wing moving up and down if you sit in a seat near a window as this is normal and not an indication of the airplane being torn apart!
  • Do choose your seat before you get to your airport as it will save time and you don't have to worry about getting a sub-prime seat. There should be some way to do this on the airline company's website, or at least a phone number to call for this. If you have to call to accomplish this make sure you find the page on the company website with seating diagrams so that you can see the seat they are talking about.
  • If you sit in an aisle seat be aware that you may be beat up by the food and drink carts going up and down the center aisle
